Dr. Durga Mahita Boppana

Dr. Durga Mahita Boppana is a Consultant Pediatrician and Neonatologist at Blossoms Children’s Hospital. She finished her post-graduation in Pediatrics from A J Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalore. She received her Fellowship in Neonatology from Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Hyderabad. After her fellowship, she was appointed as a Junior Consultant at Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore.  Subsequently, she joined the Team Blossoms. She brings with her a vast experience of 8 years in handling sick newborns and children. She is very competent at handling neonatal emergencies, earning her the name,“ Half woman, Half Warrior, delicate yet strong in handling newborns”. 

Her special areas of interest include preterm care, improving breastfeeding rates, neurodevelopmental care in NICU, promoting Kangaroo Mother Care, and Invasive neonatal procedures. She is an active participant in School Health camps, Antenatal Counselling sessions for pregnant women, training sessions for neonatal nursing staff, national and regional neonatology workshops.
