Dr. Naga Sudheer Kumar Reddy Mekala is one of the Founder members of Blossoms Hospitals and a Senior consultant Pediatrician and Pediatric nephrologist. He is an alumnus of Guntur Medical College. He completed his Masters in Pediatrics from Andhra Medical College & King George Hospital, Visakhapatnam. He specialized in Pediatric Nephrology from Christian Medical College , Vellore. His yearning for Pediatric Nephrology earned him a Fellowship at the reputed Heidelberg University in Germany.

He has worked in the capacity of Junior consultant at STAR hospitals, Hyderabad and Rainbow children’s Hospital, Vijayawada gathering experience of more than 10 years. Later he joined Team Blossoms with an aim to start the first of a kind Pediatric Superspeciality unit and extend maternity and child health services to the people of Guntur and surroundings.

 

He is an astute clinician and commands respect from fellow pediatricians and doctors across various medical specialties. He has earnt a well-deserving name of a Saviour of children with kidney diseases in the entire state of Andhra Pradesh. He is a philanthropist and a true visionary who believes, “Success is not a function of the size of your title but the richness of your contribution to the society”.

He is an active member of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics and Rotary Club, Guntur. He has delivered numerous talks on Kidney diseases in children on various platforms including television and radio. He is a Visiting Faculty for several medical colleges and institutes. He has personally conducted several workshops and CME s to train medical faculty and nursing staff in pediatric dialysis and other nephrology related services. He is the first to start ‘Pediatric Bed Wetting Clinics’ and ‘Pediatric Dialysis Program’ in Guntur and Vijayawada. He has been honored time and again by various societies for revolutionizing and rendering Superspeciality Pediatric health care services in the zone.

His areas of Interest include Steroid Resistant Nephrotic Syndromes, Antenatal Hydronephrosis, Pediatric Dialysis Program, Bedwetting clinics, Chronic renal failure management, and Renal causes of Hypertension in Children.
