The Food Drama

Were you advised to eat raw garlic after your delivery? How about Jaggery? Ghee? Laddoos? Only watery vegetables … wanna know what I had after I popped the little lady  … KFC ZINGER

… eat what you feel like … eat what you want, how much ever you want … but make sure your gut loves it too … you don’t want to end up with a stomach bug later…

Light foods and easily digestible foods are advised because they would help you heal better … that doesn’t restrict you from having Biryani…. listen to your body

I did and my body always said Biryani…

And yes if you are breastfeeding some foods can cause a bit of gas for the little one … it is different for everyone so rule out those foods and few foods actually help with your milk production…. it takes up to 2 weeks for your body to heal so take it slow and easy …

And from then all your focus will be on breastfeeding … the simple logic here is the more you feed the more you produce

So even one top up feed would reduce the production … so keep feeding that baby like there is no tomorrow…

And yes pumps are very very useful … they saved my life … an automatic two pumps are always amazing … but feeding the baby by breast is so convenient …you can skip all the bottle cleaning … sterilizing and storing the pumped milk … so I always preferred feeding myself ….
